The willi xc challenge 2023
Golden, british colombia
Dates: July 29, 2023 – August 6, 2023
Open-Distance XC
From the organizer:
This will be the 27th year of what started as a side bet challenge amongst a small group for flying friends and has grown into an annual XC pilgrimage for many. We are hoping good weather and great pilots come together to make this iteration one of the best ever.
The Willi XC Challenge is an open-distance XC competition for hang gliding and paragliding pilots of all levels. Pilots take off daily from historic Mt. Seven and soar as far as the day will allow. It’s not uncommon for pilots to make it just shy of the U.S. border on a good day. All levels are welcome, but thermal / SIV experience are an asset if you intend to fly XC.
